A massive survey on workplace gender has been released, aimed at giving companies better insights into their female talent base.
Champions for Change, a business group which champions diversity, surveyed more than 80,000 employees in 29 organisations, including some of New Zealand’s largest companies.
It represents about 3 per cent of the New Zealand working population and will be conducted annually.
Michele Embling, chair of PwC and Champions for Change co-chairwoman, said the purpose of the report was to set a new benchmark in gender and ethnicity reporting in New Zealand, from which these organisations could measure progress.
